Collection: Cherry Blossoms Jewelry Collection

Did you know that Newark's Branch Brook Park is the home to the country's largest collection of cherry blossom trees? Each spring more than 5,000 cherry trees treat visitors to a festival of blooms in pink and white. In 1927 Caroline Bamberger Fuld donated 2,000 cherry blossom trees to Essex County Parks (the nation's first County Park) and the collection has been growing ever since. Cherry blossoms are loved throughout the world as a symbol of rebirth, renewal and ephemeral beauty.

GlassRoots' Teaching Artist Rain Trippodi has created these glass cherry blossom earrings and lapel pins to celebrate the Newark tradition of viewing cherry blossoms as they bloom each spring. Each flower is created in Newark, by hand, using torch-worked soda-lime glass. Wear a symbol of spring beauty that was handmade in our city.
